We will take your preliminary ideas and quote a labor cost to design and build what you want. Material Estimate. Prices are changing rapidly and material availability is uncertain. We don’t inventory wood so we will determine the going rate for your choice, and whether we will have to pick it up and process it. Once we know what the raw materials will cost, we can offer an estimate for that portion. Finishing Costs. Depending upon your desired finish, we will determine the cost to finish the components you are getting. Reach an Agreement. Once we have a concensus to proceed, we will develop and send you the necessary paperwork. When you return the signed agreement to us with a deposit, we will get your hive into our schedule. First, we will acquire all the materials necessary and prepare them for your project. Due to the handmade nature of our process, it takes a while to cut, assemble, prep and finish a hive. Then there is the metal work for the roof. Our entire process could span more than a month, so be patient. Getting it to You. Depending on where you live, we are happy for you to come pick up your completed hive from our shop, but we will ship it to you. There will be packing, handling and shipping cost for this service.
